Not much to say; this is the third Grand Cherokee Ive owned. Except for regular maintenance, the last one never saw the the inside of the dealers garage. It was totally reliable and I got 15 MPG average over the four years I owned it.

I started buying Jeeps in 1980. I have owned 4 Jeeps and I have never been happier. I have owned other vehicles at the same time but none have stood the test of time. I off-road often and have past up and gone beyond the range of the Hummers both styles as well as Range Rovers. They just cannot go where the Jeep can go and I dont give up any comfort in my Jeeps. Fully equipped with leather on the saddels and AC in the dash. My most recent trip into the backwoods of CA found me pulling out a H2 that just could not go where my Jeep could. I literaly was driving all around in the mud and water up and down hills and The H2 could not do it. Jeeps Rule!

  • I LOVE IT! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is the third Jeep Grand Cherokee that I have owned. They are honestly great vehicles. I have always bought them with V-8 power, and for one mpg difference, it is worth it. My two other Jeeps both went to 145,000 miles with NO problems (and still running strong) and this one is following their footsteps. My Jeep has not seen the inside of the Jeep dealership since Ive owned it. (37,000 miles) except for routine maintenance. I have not had a single problem. It is very fun to drive, and very quick to respond. And in the snow, you can have nothing better than a Jeep 4x4. People always tell me how great the car looks. Dont believe people who say Jeep have problems, I would drive nothing else.

with $3K off the MSRP and another $3.5K off from incentives and a decent rate of 5.20% through Chrysler made this purchase a no-brainer - very worried I was making a mistake, but could not have been happier with the purchase - no other SUV with Leather, sun-roof, and inline 6 could be gotten for this price. And I got the 5/60K warranty for an extra $800.00

Bought in 2004 brand new. Fun to drive. very reliable. The v6 is a little slower than the v8.But still good pickup.Gas mileage is the only problem. $70.00 to fill up. And the gas goes fast.Around town if you dont use the A/C as much,it will help on the gas mileage.

  • I love it but... - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I love the truck but it does have a few hitches. On the transition from one gear to another you can hear and feel the grind of the gears. You must apply just the right gas pressure or none at all to make it through without an issue. And man, wow, guzzles gas. But the most comfortable ride I have even been blessed to ride in. Wonderful feel and a lot of fun options make this the best car I have ever owned.

I have had five of these vehicles as they evolved from 1992 onward. As a field vehicle in my biological research I found them unbeatable. Now, in retirement, I continue to enjoy the vehicle for travel and everyday use.

  • Lemon with great customer service - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Brand New Jeep needed a new transmition at 600 miles! But I did receive great customer service from Alhambra Jeep. After 6 months driving rentals I got a full refund. Maybe in the future when Chrysler improves the Larado I will buy again. (Stereo system is horrible.)
